What's with me now? I'm currently serving my NS... atlast, some of u might say. I'm still undergoing my training in Civil Defence Academy as an ERS. It tough tho, to live like this, but i get the hang of it. Start my NS life in September and now its already the end of February, and i'll be passing out in March. And i hate Sunday now...<br />Just got back from Brunei last Tuesday for an Outward Bound Course, and i really hate that place. Now i really understand why they call it rain forest, and why that hill that we have to climb is called Bukit Lutut... what is 'Lutut?' Its a very small animal that can be found only in Terrenganu heh Despite of the tiring hiking for 3 days 2 nights and the rain that left us all wet, smelly and cold... i felt a sense of accomplishment at the end of the journey. The highlight of it was the 7km kayak all the way down stream back to the logistic base. <br />Once reach, took a bath like i never took before... but the pleasure was halfway interupted when my Hidir spotted a spider "Ah! Ape siak tu.. Spider!" and we all ran out like pussies After lunch we headed back to the forest to have a solo night. Pitch my own shelter and just lay still... lots of things enter my mind, my family, angel, friends back home, future... everything. Fall asleep. And not suprisingly it rains at night and left me shivering. Being solo really helps you think, its kinda like those ppl who go up into the hill and meditate and finds self enlightenment, and bring home power and knowledge. I bring home sandfly's and mosquitoe's bites, and not forgetting the ants, so huge that it makes Singapore's Cockroach look like pussies. You will learn to appreaciate everything back home. One thing that i learn is that to never takes things for granted (family, friends, love ones) and i'm now aware of my abilities and my level of confident somehow has increase after that night... no wonder tarzan can swing from tree to tree. oh yah, i saw your sister!<br />Angel was the pretiest thing that i saw after 7 days in Brunei. She pick me up at the airport and i know she really miss me because she hugged me tightly and kissed me in public. Felt like a warrior coming home after a war... you dun have any idea how hard for me to stay cool when surrounded by all kinds of insects in that forest...<br />Received 2 Outward Bound certs, Singapore and Brunei. I never thought that 2 certs will go into collection of certs because i'm not an outdoor person. 'Work sucks, i know. She left me roses by the stairs, surprises let me know she cares..' Ok, so i should just keep the whinning to myself. <br />The more i look at that Levi's Square Cut jeans, the more i wanna buy it. Damn.. my pay is still a long way to go. If only they can foward it... Those damn China man... very hard to communicate... but hey! i have a 4G Creative MuVo! (jun is one step higher than me... hers is mini Ipod..) never go anywhere without it. So many songs to put in.... I take out all my old CDs and copied them into my mp3. Old CDs equals classic like MXPX, NOFX, Green Day(Dookie), Me First And The Gimmes Gimmes, Blink 182(dude ranch), Hi-Standards, Suicide Machines... When i listen back to all those songs, it just bring me back to my Sec Skool days... Its very hard to purchase those CDs in Singapore back then. <br />Going jamming with my first punkrock band(skip friday prayer, went jamming with our uniforms), playing Green Day, where i learned how to palm mute.ahaha Play MXPX, hate girls because of GSF, and starts to pay attention to history because of the political stuffs involve in it, all because of NOFX ahahaha My first vocal was on Somewhere Over The Rainbow, the Me Fisrt and The Gimmes2 version. My friends laugh because i'm not fierce enough because i listen to too much Blink 182. Well, now its the other way round... the more high pitch your voice is, the better.<br />I still haven't copy my hardcore CDs.. Old Skool bands like Earth Crisis, Snapcase, Path of Resistence, Strife and my fav, War Zone! ahaha <br />Tmr is a Holiday... yes! No China man, No circuit boards to inspect! I hate you China man, except the one who looks like Jacky Chan... but then again.. they all look the same... damn you China man... <br />Anyway, Denouia will be playing on 5th June at Sustation. There's lots of great bands playing on that day too. See details below. For me, this is the best gig of 2005! Tickets are at only 5 bucks(if you buy from me)! Great place, great crowd, great lighting, great sounding, great stage... everything was wonderful. A great way to end Discriminate Cookies. Last Sat show was our last show as DCookies. We are now Denouia, pronounce as 'The-Know-Ya'. Everyone looked cool that day, esp Aweng. He just need a mic and he can become Papa Roach's vocalist ahaha a big Thank You to the Pondok Clan for coming! <br />During our last song, a guy come up to us with a a jug of beer on his hand. He put it on stage... when we're done, he gave that jug to us. I'm so fucking excited! "its for you, you guys rock man!" wahaha Maybe if we rock harder, we get a bottle of liquor ahaha, nvm, next time we'll rock harder. <br />And yah, all the bands on that day sounds great, and we get paid! woohoo!! u dun get paid that often if u're a Singapore band playing in... well, Singapore. That is why many bands split or just slowly drowned during NS. It seems that getting paid $450 every month is much more rewarding that making ur own music and having ppl liking it. Well.... things are diff, 'growing up' has blinded our eyes, 'floating in the headlights so we parked these cars in our parents garage listening to the lullaby of carbon monoxide'. <br />Someone says Dcookies likes to change concept. The reason we change from punkrock to what we are playing right now is because he grow up musically. We improveourselves as the years gone by. Dcookies is 5 yrs old... and if we're playing the same song from the start to now, we just might as well stop. There's no point to continue if there's no improvement. But then again, how old are you? <br />Anyway, i know that girls who wears Roxy stuffs are known as Roxy <strike>bitch</strike> Chicks or Roxy Girls. And i saw one just now. Very typical, curly brown hair, <strike>burned</strike> tan, white Roxy Slippers and her Roxy Bag has "I Love Quik Boys" on the side. Funny... Quik boys... Why Quik?? Silver Boys sounds better, or Quiksilver boys. Why Quik?? Is skimmers (i wanna say surfer but in Spore theres hardly any waves u can surf on) that quick in bed?? The time that they have sex is the same time that they spend on their board.. well u know how they throw their skim board, quickly jump onto it, and then fall. From Suntec to Bugis to Orchard Rd. It rains heavily on that day, but that doesn't stop us. Its really good when u get ur ERS on NYE, coz theres sale everywhere!! <br />After that we chill at Funan with Aswad and Fai. We're so wasted on that night, it was fun. A great way to waste away the last few mins of 2004. <br />Well anyway, hang out with cyclop (Praz) just now, who spent the last 6 days in TTSH, hehehe went to Penin coz we wanna buy a new specs. In the end i decided to pass... coz i dunno, maybe my old specs just need a new screw or something... i think i dun really need a new specs now. <br />Things have been really quiet for DC in 2004. Only played 2 gigs, and both we rather screwed up. 2004 was really hard for us, change of members, change of music.. a lot of changes was being made. Its like starting all over again... and its not just once. But after all the hard work, i'm really glad with the current line up, and also the music that we play now. We gonna start off 2005 by playing a gig on 9 jan. "Back To The Roots" and its at Sub Station Garden. Me, Praz and Rock were about to chill at KFC and i saw them. So i hang out with them for awhile. <br />This time, things were not the same. Having kids and being jobless is not fun at all. It's really shocking to know that. Two kids?? oh man... u're dead. Well, i'm sure they'll make in life. It's not gonna be easy, but they'll make it. They are the kind of ppl who watever shits you throw at them, they will clean it all up in the end. <br />Its sad to see them in this state, i kinda felt guilty coz not being there for them. Hang out with them every day after skool, they played a very important part of making me what i'm today. But, i think theres nothing i can do. I've already told them to stay in skool, not to quit, but they never listen. <br />They all say that i still have a chance to having a good life, and i better not screw it up. Well, i hope so. As long as i have Jun, things gonna be alright. We kinda like help each other, without her, i think i'll end up like them. When i nearly go overboard, shes the one who call me in.
